Edinburgh is in spider season again, but the good news is that there are some clever ways to repel creepy crawlies

This fall, spiders invaded our homes in record numbers, as the warm and humid summers created the perfect breeding ground for one of our least favorite insects.

Scientists at the University of Gloucestershire have been monitoring the sightings and said that the spider season in 2019 seems to be busier than the same period last year.

Professor Adam Hart told the Daily Telegraph: "Earlier this year, people seemed very excited about it.

"People say they see more than usual."

One way to reduce the number of homes is to fill the gaps between walls and surfaces with fillers, but there are also smart gadgets that can help prevent them from entering.

Since we hate spiders so much, we think it’s a good time to gather some of the best solutions currently available for purchase.

This beautiful gadget is the best spider deterrent tool reviewed on Amazon, with 16 five-star reviews.

It uses dual ultrasonic and electromagnetic chips to work at the same time, disorienting the auditory and nervous systems of the pests, thereby quickly and powerfully driving them away.
